The Administration for Community Living (ACL) is part of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.

The Greater Kentucky and Southern Indiana Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association provides service and education to 125 counties across Greater Kentucky and Southern Indiana. Over 5 million Americans have the disease and more than 80,000 of them reside in our service territory. The services provided to those affected by Alzheimer’s, their families, and caregivers include a 24-hour helpline; support groups; educational programs designed for caregivers, professionals, and general education for the community; and a newsletter and advocacy at all levels of government.

Local coordinating councils on elder abuse are established in every Area Development District in Kentucky. Council’s goals are to: develop and build an effective community wide system of prevention and intervention that is responsive to the need of victims, perpetrators, family members, and formal/informal caretakers identify and coordinate the roles and services of local agencies that work with elder abused, neglected, or exploited victims and to investigate or prosecute elder abuse cases monitor, evaluate, and promote the quality and effectiveness of services and protection in the community promote a clear understanding of elder abuse, current laws, elder rights, and resources available in the community.

A federal government website managed and paid for by the U.S. Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services that covers all things Medicare related.

Medicare plans resource center (Note: we do not sell or provide healthcare plans), with a core mission to tackle the challenges associated with Medicare, we aim to: Serve as a Medicare counselor, advocate, and educator. Provide fact-based, data-driven, expert-reviewed information about Medicare and Medicare rights. Advocate for and assist in finding actionable solutions to healthcare coverage problems for aging adults.

Caring.com is a leading senior care resource for family caregivers seeking information and support as they care for aging parents, spouses, and other loved ones. They have been featured on the Administration for Community Living, AARP, Forbes, and are referenced by many governmental agencies and organizations across the internet.

The Kentucky Department for Aging and Independent Living (DAIL) oversees the administration of statewide programs and services on behalf of Kentucky’s elders and individuals with disabilities.

The National Council on Aging (NCOA) is a nonprofit service and advocacy organization headquartered in Washington, DC.

Directed by the U.S. Administration on Aging, NCEA is a resource for policymakers, social service and health care practitioners, the justice system, researchers, advocates, and families.

Advocating to improve the quality of care and quality of life for residents living in nursing homes, personal care homes, assisted living communities, and family care homes.

The University of Kentucky Sanders-Brown Center on Aging (SBCoA) basic and clinical scientists work together to improve the health of the elderly in Kentucky and beyond through research dedicated to understanding the aging process and age-related brain diseases, and education, outreach and clinical programs that promote healthy brain aging.

When you join AmeriCorps Seniors, you choose how you want to give back. Help a struggling child to learn to read. Deliver groceries to an elderly neighbor. Support a family impacted by natural disaster. These are just a few of the service opportunities available to you through AmeriCorps Seniors.

Dedicated to providing senior living assistance to the elderly. In addition to providing a number of helpful senior living resources and articles, we enable seniors and caregivers to search and find 40,000+ long-term care facilities in more than 7,500 cities across the United States.

The Kentucky Career Center - Bluegrass offers a one-stop solution to job seekers in Central Kentucky. With four brick-and-mortar locations and remote access available in the remaining 13 of the 17 counties of the Bluegrass, job seekers can access employment, education, training, and support services to succeed in the labor market. With the assistance of highly qualified staff at the Kentucky Career Center – Bluegrass, a job seeker can be matched with an employer, provided one-on-one assistance to create a resume, practice interview skills, learn about their transferrable skills, and more.
